A Little Competition

We're back! Sorry we haven't posted in awhile. We've been enjoying the last few weeks of our summer. Today is actually my last day of summer fun. My meetings start tomorrow. I can't believe it.

Anyway, Saturday was John's work party. He currently works for Neils Fugal, and they know how to throw a good party. They always have good food and great prizes. We were sad we didn't win a prize this year. (The flat screen TV would've looked great in our house, and I'm sure we could've found some use for a Wii!) Hopefully, we'll have better luck at the Christmas party!

The dessert was excellent. John liked the Coke too!

In addition to swimming, this year they also had a little competition that John signed up for. With the trackhoe, John had to pick up an egg and put it in a tray. (A spoon was attached to a tooth on the bucket.) Then he had to open a pop can with a can opener attached to trackhoe. It was a pretty intense competition. John was really speedy, but his speed broke the egg, so he was disqualified. Everyone was impressed with his speed and skill. He's quite the operator!
